BEGINNINGS
X-Feds was founded by two extremely experienced former Federal employees, each with extensive backgrounds in weapon system acquisition and engineering as well as Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) management and engineering. It was the partnership between these two seasoned ex-Federal professionals that branded the company's unique name - a name as unique as our employees and the missions they fulfill.
X-Feds, Inc. began as a result of combining resources and assets from both HGG Consulting Services and PIRAD Technologies based in San Diego, CA. Mr. Vincent Piarulli and Mr. Eric DeGraff, the founders of X-Feds transitioned all contracts, employees and other resources into the new entity that was created in January 2004. Their previous experience has allowed them to manage, design, and engineer programs such as NMCI, Shipboard and Submarine Networks, BLII (OCONUS networks), Communication programs for the F/A-18, Tactical Mobile applications, Common Link Integration Processor, Task Force Web, and many other programs. EVOLUTION AND DEVELOPMENT
In April 2005, X-Feds expanded from their "executive offices" at the neighborhood Starbucks to a suite large enough for the original six employees and the bare bones tools they needed to build a world class organization. Within months, the company had established partnerships with some of the industry's largest partners (Booz Allen Hamilton, SAIC, and Northrop Grumman, to name a few) and developed a formidable presence in the information assurance (IA), C4ISR systems engineering, and network technology arenas. By the Spring of 2006, the company had grown to 14 employees and set the stage to double its revenue. The team pressed forward, concentrating on customer satisfaction, profitability, and the evolution and enhancement of core competencies and corporate capabilities. It's a course the company still holds today.
WHERE ARE WE NOW?
Today, X-Feds is more than 50 employees strong, with offices in San Diego, CA and Norfolk, VA. The company won its first Seaport prime contract in April 2007 and among other endeavors, will support US Navy Capability Evolution (CE) processes to provide new and improved operational capability to Naval, Joint, Allied/Coalition, Inter-Agency, and Non-Government organizations in support of Naval missions. In July 2007, the company's headquarters relocated to a larger, more modern office facility in Mission Valley that would allow them more room and more efficient operations while remaining central to government customers and client site locations.
